Cord Disorder Injury Sleep Spinal

Spinal cord injury - Spinal cord injury, or myelopathy, is a disturbance of the spinal cord that results in loss of sensation and mobility. The two common types of spinal cord injury are:

Arachnoiditis - Arachnoiditis describes a pain disorder caused by the inflammation of the arachnoid, one of the membranes that surround and protect the nerves of the spinal cord. The arachnoid can become inflamed because of an irritation from chemicals, infection from bacteria or viruses, as the result of direct injury to the spine, chronic compression of spinal nerves, or complications from spinal surgery or other invasive spinal procedures.

Foix-Alajouanine syndrome - Foix-Alajouanine syndrome is a disorder caused by an arteriovenous malformation of the spinal cord. The patients present with symptoms indicating spinal cord involvement (paralysis of arms and legs, numbness and loss of sensation and sphincter dysfunction) and the pathological examination reveal disseminated nerve cell death in the spinal cord and abnormally dilated and tortuous vessels situated on the surface of the spinal cord.

Stinger (medicine) - In medicine, a Stinger, also called a Burner or Nerve pinch injury, is a minor neurological injury suffered by athletes, mostly in high contact sports such as football and wrestling. The injury is always a spine injury as opposed to more serious spinal cord injuries, which can lead to partial or total paralysis.

Form and Function in the Brain and Spinal Cord: Perspectives of a Neurologist by Stephen G. Waxman, X

Form and Function in the Brain and Spinal Cord: Perspectives of a Neurologist by Stephen G. Waxman, X
This book reflects Stephen Waxman's three decades of research on the form cord disorder injury sleep spinal and functions of the brain cord disorder injury sleep spinal and spinal cord. Building on his experience as a neuroscientist studying model systems as primitive as eels cord disorder injury sleep spinal and as a neurologist studying humans, Waxman discusses a wide variety of topics, including the design principles that optimize neural function; molecular cord disorder injury sleep spinal and cellular substrates of behavior; the role of glial cells in the brain; the molecular basis for pain; plasticity in the brain cord disorder injury sleep spinal and spinal cord; strategies for promoting functional recovery in disorders such as multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, cord disorder injury sleep spinal and stroke; cord disorder injury sleep spinal and prospects for rebuilding the brain cord disorder injury sleep spinal and spinal cord. The pieces provide example after example of the elegance of design of the nervous system, of the intricate interplay between structure cord disorder injury sleep spinal and function in health cord disorder injury sleep spinal and disease, cord disorder injury sleep spinal and of the rich borderland between neuroscience cord disorder injury sleep spinal and neurology.
